Early Flintlock Kentucky Rifle, attributed to ''Jacob Sees'', who worked in the Lancaster Region of Pennsylvania at the start of the 19th Century; .69 cal. smoothbore, 45-1/2'' octagonal-to-round barrel, 61'' overall, fancy brass patchbox with a nice aged patina and line engraving showing thru; curly maple stock with a thick butt consistent with early period rifles. Ca. 1800 period. Condition is fine overall, as properly reconverted back to its original flintlock configuration. Aside from a couple of barely visible hairline cracks, the stock is in fine condition retaining its original medium toned period finish. Est.: $4,500-$5,000. (Antique)
